If you can come, look at the bright side: with fewer people traveling, you'll have the sites and hotels more to yourself.  We also will work with you, as much as you want, to cut your costs in every way possible.  We don't have much money ourselves, so we're experts at budget travel.

Private Tours (tours where we work together to tailor you itinerary):

-- Compensation for your host (one of us) would be 205 euros per day (prorated down for shorter periods of time).

-- If the tour requires driving, we'll ask if you could pay the rental car, petrol (gas), tolls, and parking.  We can make the arrangements if you want.

-- When the itinerary requires that your host (one of us) must find accommodation overnight, there will be an additional charge per day for host food and lodging.

-- Once we begin planning your visit, we will require a credit card number (or other security). From this point, there will be a fee for our office work (composing itineraries, making arrangements, reservations, etc.), which will apply to all itineraries that have been agreed, even if they are canceled later. This administrative fee will be 100 euros for all itineraries longer than 5 days, 50 euros for itineraries from two to five days, and waived entirely for all visits of one day or less.

Means of Payment:

You may pay in euros, American dollars, or British pounds. We ask that you pay cash (ATMs are abundant) once you are here or bank transfer (we'll tell you how). Because of our non-profit status, because of the high commissions (which we would have to pass on to you), and because of the hassle for small companies like us, we do not take credit cards or traveler's cheques.

Cancellation Policy:

Failure to pay the full amount by the due date will result in cancellation of your reservation and will be treated the same as if you had notified tour operator of cancellation.

Clients who cancel ninety days or longer before the tour will receive a full refund less a € 150 administrative charge.

Clients who cancel between 90 days and two weeks before the tour will receive a refund minus a € 150 administrative charge plus any other costs incurred by Sicily Tour.  If we have to swallow a hotel penalty, for example, we'll pass that on to you.

Clients who cancel less than two weeks from the commencement of the tour will be assessed 75% of the full tour cost.

If the tour is canceled by Sicily Tour, the client will receive a full refund of all monies paid.

We strongly recommend the purchase of traveler's insurance.

Disclaimers:

Payment for any tour is for all services listed as "included", and for none others.  No substitutions for "included" items are permitted. Clients who do not avail themselves of any of the included services for any reason outside the responsibility of Sicily Tour, are free to do so, but they will not be refunded for services not used. Likewise, no refund will be made for any part of itinerary not taken.

Responsibilities: We take full responsibility for all operations of Sicily Tour.  We assume no responsibility for delays, losses, or damage to persons or property caused by any non-Sicily Tour person, firm, corporation, or other entity providing hotel, transportation, restaurant, or other services incidental to these tours.
