HOW TO PAY:  If you have discussed with us the tour you are taking, and we have all agreed on the price, and you have read the information below (Cancellation Policy, etc.), then you can pay by bank transfer (we'll tell you how).

Because of our non-profit status, because of the high commissions (which we would have to pass on to you), and because of the hassle for small companies like us, we do not take credit cards, personal cheques, or traveler's cheques.  Email us if you have questions.

Group Tours:

You pay just the stated tour price, which includes all that we list as "included".  We state clearly what is not included and thus is up to you.  There are no other costs .

Private Tours (tours where you and we work together to tailor your itinerary):

-- Compensation for your host (one of us) depends on the sort of tour we are doing and its length (discounts available for tours over five days). This will be all clear and agreed to early in our discussions. Discounts available for tours over 5 days.

-- If the tour requires driving, we'll ask if you could pay the rental car, petrol (gas), tolls, and parking.  We can make the rental car arrangements unless you want to.

-- When the itinerary requires that your host (one of us) must find accommodation overnight, there will be an additional charge of 100 euros per day for host food and lodging.

-- Once we have agreed on a tour and begin planning your visit, there will be a fee for our office work (composing itineraries, making arrangements, reservations, etc.), which will apply to all itineraries that have been agreed, even if they are canceled later. This administrative fee will be 200 euros for all itineraries longer than a week, 100 euros for itineraries from four to seven days, 50 euros for two to three days, and waived entirely for visits of one day or less.

Concierge Service:

For all help with you plans and reservations outside of one of our tours, we charge € 20 euros per hour of work, up to a maximum of € 100.

Single Supplement

Hotels are becoming more severe on charging the single traveler nearly full price if they occupy a double room.  We are forced to add 24% to the Group Tour price for anyone on a group tour who wants a single room.  Single travelers on a group tour who want to avoid that extra cost should find a travel partner, or ask us if there is another single traveler on the tour who might want to share.

Cancellation Policy:

Failure to pay the full amount by the due date will result in cancellation of your reservation and will be treated the same as if you had notified us of cancellation.

Clients who have paid a deposit or the full amount and cancel between 90 days and 30 days before the tour will receive a full refund minus a € 150 administrative charge plus any other costs incurred by Sicily Tour as a result of the cancellation.  If we have to swallow a hotel penalty, for example, we'll pass that on to you.

Clients who cancel less than 30 days from the commencement of the tour will receive a refund of 25% of the full tour cost.

If the tour is canceled by Sicily Tour, the client will receive a full refund of all monies paid.

Insurance

Sicily Tour Non-Profit Cultural Association is fully insured, with full public liability for any mishaps that are our responsibility.

For other coverage--including flight cancellation and health problems--we encourage you to purchase travel insurance.

Disclaimers:

Payment for any tour is for all services listed as "included", and for none others.  No substitutions for "included" items are permitted. Clients who do not avail themselves of any of the included services for any reason outside the responsibility of Sicily Tour, are free to do so, but they will not be refunded for services not used. Likewise, no refund will be made for any part of itinerary not taken.

Responsibilities: We take full responsibility for all operations of Sicily Tour.  We assume no responsibility for delays, losses, or damage to persons or property caused by any non-Sicily Tour person, firm, corporation, or other entity providing hotel, transportation, restaurant, or other services incidental to these tours.
